Dan Vee is a solo acoustic musician based in Johannesburg, performing at over 150 events a year. His sound sits in the folk-pop world, warm and familiar, the kind of music that fills a room without overwhelming it. Think Noah Kahan, Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, and the Lumineers.

With a large repertoire of songs spanning six decades, from the classics to the latest hits, he brings a full live sound without the complexity of a full band. He also brings his own professional sound system and handles the whole setup.

Yes absolutely! Any package available on my site is just to give you an idea of what I can offer but you’re welcome to tailor your own one. You can also choose all the songs you like from my repertoire.

Yes! I definitely do! However there will need to be a reasonable amount of time before the event and I charge R1500 per song and should the song be needed for the ceremony, I will need to use the DJ’s equipment.

I ask for a 50% deposit to secure the booking and the remaining payment is cash on the day or via bank transfer just before your wedding.

If you’ve booked me, I will arrive 1 hour before I start my first set and make sure sound check is done before your guests arrive.

Yes, I will provide all equipment suitable to the size of the venue and event. Should you have your own equipment or would like to make use of the DJ’s sound system, I would need to make sure that the equipment is suitable for live music.
